Long term cat boarding facility in Dalkeith

We always ensure the health and well-being of all our furry guests for the duration of their stay. Please find below our tariff and terms and conditions for long and short term cat boarding. Be sure to read our reviews and take a look at our gallery to get an idea of what our cattery is like. You are welcome to arrange a viewing before making your booking.

Our Prices 

Rates inclusive of VAT, heating and bedding, bowls, litter and toys: 

Cost is per day -

One cat is £22.00

Two cats sharing from the same household is £35.00

Three cats from same household is £45

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 10am and 4pm to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday are 12noon to 3pm. 

(There is a £10 out of hours charge for drop off and pickup).

 

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at time of booking to secure your dates and the balance must be paid seven days prior to stay. 

 

If the booking is less than seven days prior to the cats boarding with us, then the full balance must be paid. Cancellations made within seven days are payable in full.

 

FESTIVE PRICES - There is a £15 supplement per PetPod/pen each day for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. 

 

A non-refundable deposit of 40% is required at time of booking over the Festive period with a minimum booking of five days from 23rd to 27th December and 30th December to 2nd January.  Cancellations made within seven days are payable in full.

 

 

Terms & Conditions

 

Your cat(s) / kitten(s) must arrive and be collected in a carrier. All cattery bookings are subject to availability.

 

Tariff : 

• 1 cat – £22.00 per day in a PetPod / Indoor pen

• 2 cats – £35.00 per day sharing a PetPod /  indoor pen

• 3 cats – £45 per day sharing a PetPod / indoor pen

Charges are daily, including the day of arrival and include the day of departure.

Surcharges

There is a surcharge of £15 per PetPod (per day) on Christmas Eve (24th), Christmas Day (25th), Boxing Day (26th), New Year’s Eve (31st December) and New Year’s Day (1st Jan)

 

Minimum Stay Periods

Our minimum stay over the Festive - Christmas period is 23rd to 27th December and over New Year is 30th Dec to 2nd January. We are closed for the receiving and uplifting of pets:

• January – 1st 

• December – 24th, 25th, 26th & 31st

 

We provide litter trays, bedding, scratch post, food and water bowls.

 

Food is available at a cost of £2 per day per cat (up to three pouches and dry food) or you are welcome to supply your own. This must be stated at time of booking and paid with the balance due.

Please discuss any requirements at the time of booking. 

 

We provide a wide variety of dry and wet food but do not hold supplies of every brand / type. Please check with us before boarding that we have the food preferred by your cat. 

 

We are unable to provide any special prescription diets, these would have to be provided. Fresh water is always available to all cats.

 

Payment methods

For bookings made less than seven days prior to arrival, full payment is required. Please note that this payment is non-refundable on cancellation. 

 

We accept:

• Cash

• Most debit and credit card payments

• Secure link directly from booking system

 

We do not accept cheques as a form of payment.

 

Deposit

Your booking will not be confirmed until the deposit has been paid. The deposit of 25% is required at time of booking to secure your dates. Balance must be paid seven days prior to arrival day. If this is not received, your booking may be cancelled and please also note that deposits are non-refundable.

Over Christmas and New Year bookings – 40% deposit is required at time of booking (non-refundable) and balance is due seven days prior to arrival.

 

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made on or within 14 days prior to arrival will be charged 50% of the total outstanding amount.

• Cancellations made on or within seven days prior to arrival will be charged 100% of the total outstanding amount.

• If you make a change to a booking on or within 14 days prior to arrival and the number of days is less than originally booked, we reserve the right to charge the full outstanding amount.

• In the event of a cat being removed before the end of the period booked, we reserve the right to charge for the full period booked.

  Please Note:  Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated by any cat boarding and your booking may be cancelled at any point during the booking. This is for the safety of any and all staff members and the wellbeing of your cat. You will be contacted to arrange for immediate removal from the Cattery. We reserve the right to charge for the full period.

 

Opening Hours – for viewing the cattery ( By Appointment Only), dropping off and collecting cats

• Monday to Friday: 8am to 10am and 4pm to 6pm

• Saturday and Sunday: 12 noon to 3pm

 

Early Check-in / Late Check-out

If you would like to drop off or pick up your pet outside our normal working hours listed above, we can provide an out of hours service by arrangement. There is a £10 fee for this on arrival and departure dates. This must be arranged in advance so please let us know if you may require an out of hours arrival or departure. 

 

Collection/Delivery Service

If dropping off and collecting your cat is a problem, or you don’t have transport, we can collect and drop off your cat. Charge is from £15 each journey. *This service is subject to availability* 

 

If pick up and/or drop off is required out of our normal opening hours, noted above, the out of hours charge may be applied.

Should you have any collection or delivery time preferences, please let us know at time of booking.

 

Arrival & Departure Times

At time of booking, please ensure that your arrival and departure times are correct as these are your allocated time slots. Your cat(s) will not gain entry to their PetPod before the booked time.

If these arrangements need to be changed you must contact us beforehand so we can amend them on our booking system.

 

Vaccinations, Fleas & Worms

We require all cats to be up to date on vaccinations, you can upload a photo of their vaccination cards to your online booking. Failing that, proof of this must be brought along on drop off or we cannot accept them into the cattery. Please note that only vaccinated kittens can be accepted.

They must also be up to date on flea and worm treatment. Cats will not be accepted if they show any signs of being unwell when dropped off.

 

Neutered Cats

All Male cats - over the age of 8 months must be neutered or we cannot accept them for boarding. Please call if you have any questions on this matter. Office number on 07460 472708.

 

Medication

You must inform us of any medical conditions and if they require medication whilst in our care. We are happy to administer pills and liquid medicine, which has been prescribed by a vet, provided full and clear instructions are left by the owner. 

 

Insurance

Mr T’s Cattery Ltd is fully insured. Our current insurance broker is Pet Plan Sanctuary Insurance which is underwritten by Allianz Insurance plc.
